Latest garage sale finds

2 wonderful leather purses for $1.00 each Sterling silver braclet with stones .50 cents....had to have the clasp redone for $25.00 but well worth it. 1 carved Indian head $1.00 will have this piece varnished and give to my sister for her up coming birthday 1 antique mirror $15.00....what a steal. Now I just need to figure out where it will go since I am supposed to try to go minimalistic.....as if! 1 vintage case .....not sure where to put it yet...was thrown in with the purchase of the mirror. 1 vintage green portable radio....couldn't resist it because it reminded me of one I had growing up. It actually didn't work when I looked at it, so I asked the woman selling it if I was able to open it up and fix it would she give it to me for free...she didn't think it was funny, so I opened it up and did manage to fix the volume button that came loose. She brought the price down from $4.00 to $1.00.....gotta laugh sometimes.

Latest garbage find

My husband pulled this baby out of someones garbage last week. It's a heavy sucker and has quite a bit of rot on it. I brought it up to the cottage and sanded it down and replaced 5 boards which were beyond repair with rot sealer. Then I gave it 2 coats of burgundy paint and it looks wonderful along with my other 4 adirondack chairs. I'll post the end result as soon as we get back up to the cottage. And here it is. Today July 29th, my neighbor's are throwing one in the garbage because the arm is broken....to be added to the one's up north. I forgot to add this little children's chair that I also found completely broken in pieces. I spent way too much time sanding it and glueing it together and now it holds my Christmas cactus in the dining room.
