Painted glass jars

Again for the crafty girl at Beach Vintage....another one of my loves "glass" I have a whole bunch of them that I picked up at an auction a couple of years ago that are perfect for this project. http://beachvintage.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-03-11T13%3A50%3A00%2B10%3A00&max-results=12

Drift wood projects

How cute is this...from Beach Vintage again.....a drift wood fish. Hum, I have tons of pieces that we pulled out of the lake perfect for this project. http://beachvintage.blogspot.com/2009/07/project-day-driftwood-fish.html Gather some driftwood or sticks in different sizes. The most important piece is the head so it may take some time to find this. I have used 3 x adhesive backed protector squares. These are meant for furniture items so they don't scratch the floor. I bought mine from the local hardware store for $4.95 a set. Arrange the pieces on a flat surface as shown. Using strong adhesive, glue each piece of wood onto the mat as shown. What until it dries completely. Peel the backing off the mat and stick straight to any clean surface. Bear in mind that once on a wall it is final. To remove it will wreck the backing mat and the artwork.  Driftwood mirror make over by:  http://lbratina.blogspot.com/2011/08/thrifty-thursday-125-plus-tablescape.html

Antique sewing machine idea

I came across this cute idea at Beach Vintage http://beachvintage.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-05-23T08%3A20%3A00%2B10%3A00&max-results=12 Not that I will put it in a store front but it just looks so much cuter in white. Lamp shade re-do

another great idea for older lamp shades..... and of course my daughter just gave me a great idea to take the lace from my wedding dress which I want to get rid of. http://beachvintage.blogspot.com/2010/05/project-day-2-minute-lamp-revamp. html or here is another cute idea

Wicker chair and couch garbage find

My hubbie found this wonderful little set at the curb and brought it home for revamping. At first look I was not going to touch it as it seemed like a huge project but now I am finding great inspiration ideas thru fellow bloggers. Unfortunetaly the cushions that were with it were too used to even try to salvage. I will most likely buy some new foam and then use the some of the 50 ft of fabric that I got from my girlfriend Kitty when she was moving from Montreal. Here is the idea for the cushions and slip covers at Beach Vintage:  http://beachvintage.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-06-22T15%3A22%3A00%2B10%3A00&max-results=12 This is the color I want to spray paint it when fixed. Source: Well I think the verdict if finally in for the darker colour. Now should I use paint or stain. I think that Krylon probably has the best paint out there right now so I will have to see if I can match the colour and while I am at it, I will stand my wicker plant stand
