Exhibition at Lachine Library for the month of March- Kaleidoscope

This painting titled "Kaleidoscope" is on exhibition at the Lachine Library for the month of March.
This frame was made by my good friend Daniel Fewtrel who is now setting up his own workshop in Ontario. It was a birthday gift which included the mdf board in the center. I had it in the studio for about a year afraid of doing something on it because it was such an amazing frame. I am happy with the results.

It was also in the exhibition last year at the Maison du Brasseur in Lachine

Holy cow is looking for a new home and a name - Give away

Pictures of Montreal in the 60's

Decarie Boulevard 1961. The  Gibeau Orange Julep , also known as the Big Orange, was built by Hermas Gibeau in 1942. That building looked like  this  in the 1950s. The structure was rebuilt in the mid-1960s when the road was widened. This larger, fiberglass orange is 40 feet in diameter. The Orange Julep drink is similar to that produced by Orange Julius. Both companies developed their foamy orange drinks in the 1920s.
