This early century measuring tape made of early plastic. The spindle is likely bone. It is missing its lid. Its orgin unknown, it is in amazing condition with a slight scratch on it that does not go all the way through. The tape pulls out with the little round lever and retracts by turning the center spindle. See photos for details.
