Statue of Liberty painting almost on the chopping block

This painting was up in the livingroom for quite a few years, unfinished. My middle daughter took it down and put up a newer painting I recently finished and told me not to put it back up until it was finished. I like to look at some paintings before I go over the edge and take it in another direction. Having said that there should be a time limit as to how long it can stay up and this one was very close to being gessoed over. Instead because of my resolution to finish up some old paintings, this one got another chance. Some times it is almost impossible to stop myself from just starting over.

Now I am dealing with the face that I am trying to get the right patina of aged copper without making her look too green. Of course the solution should be to just run out at buy some copper paint but no I am trying to build up the layering of different hues with using a iridescent green and gold which is really hard to see in the photo.

so far it is off the chopping block

The Randon things I collect on Tresorcache101

My blog name is called Tresorcache101. I liked the name Tresor cache from the first time I heard it. It sounded like a diamond in the rough. I like to find little treasures even at the curb. I picked that name when I started this blog way back when. Since Tresor cache was already taken in Google, I added the 101 at the end.  It is the place where I document stories about the items given to me by my Family and Friends either to keep or resale. Some of the items I are found at the curb or  at 2nd Hand Stores, Flea Markets.  Most of the photographs are mine with the exception of the occasional picture ideas for reference of what could be done with the item to upcycle.  Google " bpagani@poshmark.ca" and click on images you will be directed to my Poshmark closet where I sell. I post items on Instagram under randomthingsicollect. Please ask any question you have regarding any of my items.  Use my referral code "bpagani" to receive a $15 discount off your first purchas...
