See photos of the stamp and marking on the back of the plate from the French pottery manufacturer H. Boulenger & Cie (H.B. & Cie) in Choisy-le-Roy, France. The black transfer mark features a large stylized "B" with an "H" integrated into the cross-line, "&" on the left, and "Cie" on the right, with"Choisy-le-Roi" at the base. The "HB" stands for Hippolyte Boulenger, who directed the factory during the late 19th century. The impressed indented stamp is the maker's mark in the ceramic body which is characteristic of the factory's production codes and batch or shape identifiers.
