Testing this crackle medium because I found the Kroma too expensive and the Golden Crackle was on back order. So far, I am loving the unique crackle that it gave. Here is what I did with it.
First I applied a Golden mixed light pale green, let it dry. I applied a thick even coat of the crackle medium and let it dry 24 hours. Then I applied Golden Napthtol red light and let it dry. It didn't really crackle too much and made the light red look more orange. I painted a flower design with Montana paint markers and let dry. Then I applied one of my favourite colours, Golden Prussian Blue Hue to the background and let it dry.
Here are the results on a mini 6 x 12
still wet
partially drying close up
Fully dried but needs some touch ups
