The Exoskelton Bureau that I Sold

The exoskeleton bureau I recently sold appeared on a design show I was watching on Homeworthy YouTube for designer Katie Curtis

Designer William Hinn had a shop on Madison Ave and made limited pieces of the exoskeleton bureau. Katie Curtis found hers in the basement laundry room of a building she lived in. It was covered with painted and in bad condition. She convinced the super to sell to her for $50.

Pictures of Montreal in the 60's

Decarie Boulevard 1961. The  Gibeau Orange Julep , also known as the Big Orange, was built by Hermas Gibeau in 1942. That building looked like  this  in the 1950s. The structure was rebuilt in the mid-1960s when the road was widened. This larger, fiberglass orange is 40 feet in diameter. The Orange Julep drink is similar to that produced by Orange Julius. Both companies developed their foamy orange drinks in the 1920s.
