I spent a good part of this morning and afternoon weeding the edge of my property. It has to be one of the things that I hate the most about a garden next to all the spiders, slugs and earwigs. But it needs to be done so I had better finish this post and get on with the clean up. I work in 1/2 hour intervals so that I don't hurt my back. I helped my other neighbor Elaine the other day completely remove the hops that were infested with a green worm. It digest the leaves on the plant and then leaves excrement all over the deck. She came back from PEI to find the whole top of her gazebo had been eaten. We removed a good part of it with one of the lovely tree trimmers and then bundled the whole lot up in a million garbage bags. It's too bad it was infested because those vines would make some wonderful wreaths. Anyhow it's back to work b/4 Mr man calls and finds out I am not working....as if! oh btw...2 solutions for this infestation problem is: 1-Place a bunch of hot chilie
A little bit of collecting and crafting
