I am going to play with a new medium, White Opaque Flakes by Liquitex

Okay I fooled around a bit with the white opaque flakes and didn't really find anything special about them. I used them on a board that I was hacking around trying to get an antique feel like Mae Chevrette but I never managed to get anywhere close to how cool her paintings are. So here are the results which I am not sure if I liked. I will look to see what other artist out there are doing with them but not something that really pulled my chain. It is hard to see but I added the opaque flakes in the bead like pieces of the chandelier and then added some irredentist medium to make them brighter  I have been doing work at the cottage getting it ready for our vacation and here at home, purging and getting rid of things we are no longer using. It turned out wonderful and I will hand paint in their names and the date on the bottom. I used my Sabotaz paints which have amazing coverage but had to do this outdoors as it smells. It will have to cure for at least 24hours and then I will add some bling.....not sure at this point whether it will be glitter or sequins but not gold leaf this time. Updates to follow Here is the invitation Here is the design which is not exact because it is a little complex for the stencil cutting This is final version after the background has been completely painted and then the stencil layed
