Demonstration of Golden Paint Products

The Lachine Artist group had a demo on Monday night which I am hoping will be the turn around in my creativity because I am absolutely amazed at the products and the Artist that gave the demo. The woman giving the demo's name is Melanie Matthews and you can see her video on youtube for Golden Paints: http://www.goldenpaints.com/VIDEO/library.php?ID=59 Here is her website:http://melaniematthews.ca/ She is giving workshops in the Montreal area and if you have even one ounce of creativity in you, I recommend you attend any of her workshops. We were all given samples of some Golden Paint products which I have been playing with and I can't wait to go out and buy more.....photos of creations to follow...here is the first couple that I did. The first 2 are family photos of my dad & his brothers, sister and Aunt taken in black and white which transfered wonderfully. I used Med gel gloss to do the transfer. The second one is of a photo of montreal transfered into

Upcycling 101- Old trophies and awards

My son cleaned out his room a couple of weeks ago and had tons of awards and throphies, instead of putting them in the garbage I decided to try to upcycle the small plaques. For the trophies, I simply took off his name and sent them to the second hand store hoping someone craftier than me can do something with them. I wasn't sure how I would paint over the existing enamel paint and thought of sanding them down and then repainting them but that was alot of effort. So I simply sanded the top and then made a print with water color paper and modge podged one. Have a look at the before and after pictures. Here is the second one that I did for 2 of the women that work with Chuck. One of them sent me a beautiful candlebra as a Thank you, now I have to thank her for this.....and so it goes

Lino cuts - My cup spillith over 1 & 2

These were done at the demo at Andrea's house back in Jan when I showed the gang how to do Linoleum cuts and Marilyn brought a relief piece of wood for detailing on wood. We took a print from this and it really looked crappy but I told her I would do something with it. Today I added some detail with another lino cut which we did that day and here is the final result......Thank you Marilyn
