How I started drawing

I started drawing when I was younger because we really couldn't afford the Hallmark cards, so I would take whatever paper was available at that time and fold it in 4 and make my own. I am now know for never buying a card unless I am out of card stock or just in a rush, which is rare. So in my journey of exploring my art and where I have come to with all the mediums that I love playing with, I remind myself of where I started. I must say that it is probably the most enjoyable part of what I do when I create anything just like sketching. I get my ideas for larger paintings from this and now I make at least 2 to 3 cards a week. I have a stash of them. Some I didn't really like, I cut and paste and scan them in various ways. One thing I have never thought of is selling them but I think I will now because they are all different, no matter how many times I think that I re-do the same idea just like the rest of my art work.
