My painting was accepted for donation at Le Nichoir/Wildcard

I really have to make sure from here on in when I finish a painting and sell/give or donate that I take a picture. It seems to be a bad habit that I have. I found it on line at Le Nichoir http://pinterest.com/pin/179440366372657520/ Anyhow, my painting was accepted and will be auctioned off by Le Nichoir/ Wildcard which is an association here in Montreal that help wild birds. Here is the link to the artists that works were accepted:  http://www.lenichoir.org/wildcard/html/artists.html The Wildcard Collection Through the generosity of artists, Le Nichoir is building a Wildcard collection that will be sold November 19th during a cocktail event at Collège Sainte-Anne in Lachine, QC. Paintings in progress

I am working on 2 different paintings, 1 acrylic and the other encaustic. The acrylic one has collaged pictures and tissue paper for texture and then built up with some acrylic mediums. I am calling it "the field of dreams". I am not sure where I am going with the butterfly and don't really like the puff paint around it but will play around with it a bit more. I also included some micro beads and some sparkle paint which I may tone down a bit before the final varnish, although it will still show through after the final coat. The encaustic one name "fire and water" which my son started with me last year is still in progress too. I also added some micro beads but will probably have to add another coat of was for it to become completely in beaded in the wax so that I can get the glossy finish when the wax is buffed.                                             Here is the begining of this painting. And this is where I am today Here is the begini

Mushrooms found up at the cottage

These photos were all taken by daughter Sam in Aug and Sept of this year. Some of them are editable but we need to consult with the expert mushroom picker who found the best mushrooms heaven near the local rapids.
