I saw this ad on Craigslist .com about a workshop for doing Encaustic painting and thought how wonderful. The only other workshops that I had heard about were in Ontario. It was held at Gallerie Rye, 1331A Ste-Catherine Est, Montréal . The cost was very reasonable, $75.00 with all the materials included from 1pm to 5pm. I really enjoyed myself and all the participants were very nice. I came home after the workshop and had a million ideas in my head of what my next project would be. Here is a photo of the piece that I worked on at the workshop. It's not amazing but I learnt some of the different techniques shown that afternoon. I am hoping that they are planning on doing another workshop soon. It was definitely worth the money.
