Vintage glass bird ornaments

I picked up these cuties at the Flea Market off St-Jeans in Pointe Claire. These are vintage pink and silver glass bird Christmas tree ornaments with a fiber tails and a metal clip.   These ornaments are typically made of blown glass and are a popular collectible item.   One bird is pink and the other silver with a white fiber tail, designed to clip onto a tree branch.   Bird ornaments are often symbols of happiness and joy during the holiday season.   Similar items can be found from various sellers specializing in vintage and antique decorations.    The spring has a bit of rust so I used some shoe goop to ensure it stays put in the clip.

Alcohol ink idea

I picked up this clear glass heart at an Estate Sale and decided to juj it up. I applied some red alcohol ink and also the drab ribbon.  Then I saw this heart for sale on PM and thought it would make it even cuter. I am not sure if I would use white or pearl

Ceramic coffee grinder with delft pattern

This is such a beautiful piece that I don't think I could sell it. It will look fantastic in my country style kitchen. It is missing the lid so I am on the look out for a replacement. I took it all apart and cleaned it and will test that it works tomorrow. I came across a metal topper which I painted with black alcohol ink to fit on top.

Fragile and old Christmas ornaments

Here is what I do with the ornaments that have survived over the years. I hang them in my chandelier out of reach from little hands.  Some of these belonged to my Great Grandmother Meta Forbes Crompton

Recued from the reject pile of Alcohol inks

Here are some of the rescued rejects from my alcohol inks pile. I outlined the parts I liked with black and then white to give it some depth and dried like enamels. Once dry, I coated them with Glossy accent. I have another batch ready for some resin that needs to be used up.

Upcycled marble lamp with alcohol inks

My friend broke her mom's antique lamp. It was beautiful and only the top part got damaged and she asked if I wanted it. I thought I would be able to fix it but it would have been an intense labor of love to put all the pieces back together. I saw some lamp shades another friend was selling and immediately knew one of them would be good replacement.  It was a light brown so I painted it with alcohol inks. Here is the final result.

Vintage Christmas Ornaments

There are 12 gold. 1 of the seems older and pretty see through. This is most likely not the original box. The plastic is worn and spotted from tape and age. I will leave it to the purchaser to fix it up as these are delicate.  This will be packed carefully. These are not new and possibly have old snow spray and rust on the wire and possibly crackled paint but not broken. There are 6 gold and bigger than the other sets. 1 is the crown is off and the top chipped. 1 the crown is loose. This is most likely not the original box which does not have any advertising on it.
