My birthday is in Dec....Dec 30th to be specific and I really wanted to have a big party, only about 70 people or so. Well since Christmas and New Years are always in the way, I decided that it was time to take matters into my own hands...I planned a party for Aug, the 29th. I got about 20-30 cancellations out of 80. The weather was the best we had all summer up to the day b/4 my party and then down came the rain. It poured all morning and thankfully my wonderful neighbor Adriana came to the rescue with a canopy for outdoors. The food was all taken care of the day b/4 and in the fridges the only thing left to do was have my lovely husband Mr. man (which I call him ) do the potatoe salad, bean salad, and I had to throw my homemade pizza's in the oven 1hr b/4 guests arrived. My brother came to the rescue again to cut up all 5 roasts that Mr. man had smoked on the smoker the day b/4. Here is my art studio. It's a bit messy as this has been the dumping ground for the longest time. It's a small area and I share it with my dog, Jack , who doesn't seem to mind and a 30yr old asparagus fern that sheds like crazy....now if I could only have some time to do work. This is my very first post on my blog so I'm not really quite sure how it works. Some of my pictures could be a little vamped up but I guess I'll figure it out along the way. The desk that I work with was a garbage find many years ago when my back wasn't acting up and I carried it upside down on my head....if you can picture that 3 blocks for my husband to ask...."why do you need that". I removed all the paint and sanded it a bit but left it as is for years now. On top is a wonderful antique easel which my sister bought me years ago and it has been used for my breakfast in bed on mothers day. Its a wonderful piece which I have left in the same condition as I got it. You can see
