Is it destroying or creating?

As usual I can't just paint something and leave it alone. I have decided to take pictures of the evolution some of my paintings. My eldest daughter is still made at me for painting over one of my paintings years ago but I just couldn't help myself. There is a drive in me to take the painting to another level and it is unstoppable. So having said that I am really loving the works of Flora Bowley and I can't wait for her book "Brave Intuitive painting- let go be bold and unfold" so this next painting has developed into what my interpretation of her work is. So moving forward, I will do the photos b/4 I go in and make changes to my paintings.

So here is the painting that has now been reworked several times. My process was keeping some of the original colors and shapes from the first painting and slowly removing parts that were too busy.

This is the final version....or so I think....we'll have to wait and see if it gets the final coat of varnish.
Colour explosion 18 x 14, acrylic $125.00

Now I started another painting with my airbrush yesterday....just letting go like Flora tells me to. I am not really liking the colors yet but I will mucky muck it a bit and see where it goes. I will add some details to the background and play with the leaves and give it some weight. I will be adding gesso to the areas that I feel need rework and then play around with some of the colours adding layers.

End of a collection #Breweriana

For years my hubby and I collected Breweriana items. It started with beer glasses and within a year or two without realizing it, we had over 100 displayed in our A frame window ledge. Then it was coasters from every bar or restaurant we visited. The next level was Beer trays which we eventually sold off. This all started when we were making our own beer even managed to find the old quart size bottles and the cases. As with most collections it grows without even noticing. You know it's out of control when you need to clean over 100 glasses, twice a year. We still pick up glasses, coasters and trays here and there but more for reselling. This is the last bit of the collection that we no longer display and all the coasters have a pin hole as they were mounted in our basement on our barn wood walls. They are in relatively good condition for the next collector to come along and purchase them. Poshmark.ca/closet/bpagani Thank you for checking them out.  update this batch which had lots
