Update on takeover of " House of Flowers"- now named "daydreamer"

House of Flowers 24 x 36 $200.00
This is my latest painting that I worked on while on vacation. It is acrylic soft body paints. Dim 24 x 36
I also started 2 smaller paintings which I will finish on my next trip to the cottage.

Gee remember how cute this painting was.....well as you may be aware, unless the final varnish is on, this is open season to play around with the painting......I could just shoot myself sometimes. Here is the mess that I made. As Chuck would say, "you just can't leave well enough alone".

Okay I must confess I went too far and started blocking out areas that seemed too complicated and landed up gessoing the whole thing......Is this license of freedom or destruction????? I just can't help myself. It's as if someone else takes over the paint brush. This is why I have been taking pictures on a regular basis to show my insanity or is it creativity? You be the judge. All I know is my family gives me a lot of guff when I do this.
So having confessed my errors, here are the latest progress.

Okay there was still part of the painting left but then after purchasing a whole gallon of gesso, I got gutsy...

It is Feb 20th 2013 and looks like the painting is complete....photo to follow. This will be either given to my cousin Mad (who fell in love with it) or brought into the store to be sold on commisssion. I have to wait a week to put on the final varnish and of course upload photos.

End of a collection #Breweriana

For years my hubby and I collected Breweriana items. It started with beer glasses and within a year or two without realizing it, we had over 100 displayed in our A frame window ledge. Then it was coasters from every bar or restaurant we visited. The next level was Beer trays which we eventually sold off. This all started when we were making our own beer even managed to find the old quart size bottles and the cases. As with most collections it grows without even noticing. You know it's out of control when you need to clean over 100 glasses, twice a year. We still pick up glasses, coasters and trays here and there but more for reselling. This is the last bit of the collection that we no longer display and all the coasters have a pin hole as they were mounted in our basement on our barn wood walls. They are in relatively good condition for the next collector to come along and purchase them. Poshmark.ca/closet/bpagani Thank you for checking them out.  update this batch which had lots
