All the garden lanterns are getting a little rust paint

I have spent the last day cleaning and fixing all my out door lanterns (all 15 of them) by cleaning the glass and taping them and spray painting the metal with a little black rust paint. I do this every couple of years because I am so lazy that I leave them out all year around. I do use them in the winter when we have guests over and it's not too windy and cold. It looks romantic, I think. Anyhow they are looking all pretty new again.

Here are the beautiful morrocan lanterns I got from Crappy Tire for Mothers day 3 years ago. I had to paint them black first with rust paint because they were sitting in a container which got rain in and they were a sad story. I almost threw them away but then remembered how cute the look hanging from my porch with candles in them. So after 2 coats of black rust paint, then I coated them with liquid gold leaf. They look new again.

Pictures of the other lanterns to follow

Here the are hanging to dry. I will take the masking tape off the little pieces of glass tomorrow and do some touch ups

close up indicates some touch up will be needed

I have had these lanterns for at least 25 years. They were the first lanterns I bought. They have been repainted so many times that the paint just chips off now.

Now all I have to do is go to Ikea for my big splurge on tea lights. We don't even bother going through the whole store because it is just too distracting. I know exactly which isle the candles are in and I usually run out of the store yelling, Start the car.....ha ha

End of a collection #Breweriana

For years my hubby and I collected Breweriana items. It started with beer glasses and within a year or two without realizing it, we had over 100 displayed in our A frame window ledge. Then it was coasters from every bar or restaurant we visited. The next level was Beer trays which we eventually sold off. This all started when we were making our own beer even managed to find the old quart size bottles and the cases. As with most collections it grows without even noticing. You know it's out of control when you need to clean over 100 glasses, twice a year. We still pick up glasses, coasters and trays here and there but more for reselling. This is the last bit of the collection that we no longer display and all the coasters have a pin hole as they were mounted in our basement on our barn wood walls. They are in relatively good condition for the next collector to come along and purchase them. Poshmark.ca/closet/bpagani Thank you for checking them out.  update this batch which had lots
