Living with Pain and Art as my therapy

I don't really like to talk about this but my paintings help relieving the pain that I have been living with. I work mostly at night while everyone is enjoying a good sleep which is something I don't do much of. Without getting into details, the only thing that helps me at this point to relieve my pain, is work on my paintings. I could try to stay in bed and fight not being able to sleep but I choose to not fight it and walk like a zombie around the house in the midst of the night and paint. I see the sun rise very often and I used to love it because it was very rare that I would see it but now it see it almost every couple of days. The joke here is not have a good night sleep but try to get sleep. I keep telling myself, "I am bigger than my pain" and do some deep breathing. So far nothing has helped me stay asleep for more than an hour.

So here are some of the latest paintings
