Quilts and Blankets

I love a good well made Quilt or Blanket, especially ones that are either handmade or wool.

Most of the items that I have are pre-owned and may have flaws or stains which I try to point out.

Here are some that I have presently and how I treat them.

I highly recommend Cold water, gentle cycle wash and hang to dry. If there are any stains, I try to leave it in the sun longer.

Sometimes I happen to come across some that pass the smell test for Moth Balls and my recommendation for this is a soak in the bath tub with room temperature water, a small amount of soap and half a cup of vinegar. Rinse in cold water and spin in the spin cycle and then days in the sun. I have also had good results by freezing them in the winter outdoors.

Here are a few of the latest quilts

This is a pre-owned handmade quilt which is reversible with orange stripped material on one side and multi color on the other. Condition is in nice pre-loved with the exception of one stain which was acrylic paint or wood stain as seen in last photograph. It would make a perfect addition to a rustic setting or country look. Also could be used for picnics.

This is a nice light floral and checkered blue green yellow and white quilt.

This is a queen reversible quilt with one side floral pattern and the other side plain.
The color is ivory and the material is very soft.
The flowers are burgundy, soft pink with light green leaves.
The piping around the edges is also the soft green.

Includes 2 shams.

End of a collection #Breweriana

For years my hubby and I collected Breweriana items. It started with beer glasses and within a year or two without realizing it, we had over 100 displayed in our A frame window ledge. Then it was coasters from every bar or restaurant we visited. The next level was Beer trays which we eventually sold off. This all started when we were making our own beer even managed to find the old quart size bottles and the cases. As with most collections it grows without even noticing. You know it's out of control when you need to clean over 100 glasses, twice a year. We still pick up glasses, coasters and trays here and there but more for reselling. This is the last bit of the collection that we no longer display and all the coasters have a pin hole as they were mounted in our basement on our barn wood walls. They are in relatively good condition for the next collector to come along and purchase them. Poshmark.ca/closet/bpagani Thank you for checking them out.  update this batch which had lots
