Messages inside the bottom of a jewelry box which I sold

A buyer reached out to me after receiving a bracelet in a small jewelry box that I had sold her to let me know these newspaper clippings were at the bottom underneath the soft stuffing. These announcements which my mother cut out from the newspapers in the past. I never noticed them until she sent me the pictures. This goes to show you to check your items thoroughly before you sell them or give them away.

Collecting Royal Doulton Figurine

I love to collect things. There are things that friends bring to me and I sell to people who collect certain things. It can be anything from beanie babies to Royal Doulton figurines. Things that are collectible can be hot this year and not the next. Things are essentially material items that bring us joy.  Here is a Royal Doulton that brought my friend's Mother, Patricia lots of joy years ago that belonged to her Mother's Mother. They had a tradition of collecting these in their family. Suddenly these Figurines were no longer as popular and trends had changed.  Once they were viewed in a china cabinet and that changed and no one really has the room for large pieces of furniture as space is limited. But there is always someone that collects a once collectible. There is always some who know that at sometime this will be collected again but in the meantime it brings them joy to collect it.  This is the on line description on Poshmark She was packed in bubble wrap, nestled in stra

Vintage Book on Gnomes written by Wil Huygen and illustrated by Rien Poortvliet

Gnomes, originally published in Dutch in 1976 as Leven en werken van de kabouter (lit. 'Life and work of the gnomes', then released in English in 1977, is a fiction book written by Wil Huygen and illustrated by Rien Poortvliet. The book explains the life and habitat of gnomes in an in-universe fashion, much as a biology book would do, complete with illustrations and textbook notes. CONDITION: This is a pre-owned Vintage book so it is not brand new. It may has normal wear from handling but mostly in beautiful condition. The dust jacket shows wear in the way of a wrinkled plastic only in the center on front and back. This is quite a collectable book for those people who love Gnomes.
